Clinfix 600 Tablet contains Clindamycin 600mg, a lincosamide antibiotic known for its excellent tissue penetration and strong activity against gram-positive bacteria and anaerobic organisms. The 600mg dosage is typically reserved for more serious or deep-seated infections and is used under physician supervision.
How It Works: Clindamycin binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacterial cells, suppressing protein synthesis by blocking peptide chain elongation. This bacteriostatic action stops bacterial growth and allows the body's immune response to eliminate the remaining infection over time.
Common Uses: Clinfix 600 is prescribed for serious skin and soft tissue infections including cellulitis, bone and joint infections (osteomyelitis), intra-abdominal and pelvic infections due to anaerobes, and dental and oral anaerobic bacterial infections.
Administration: Clinfix 600 is usually prescribed three to four times daily. It should always be taken with a full glass of water to reduce esophageal irritation. Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking each dose.
Storage: Store below 25°C in a dry, clean environment. Protect from light and heat. Keep away from children.
