HCQS 200 Tablet contains Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate 200mg, an antimalarial and disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) used in the treatment of malaria, rheumatoid arthritis, and systemic lupus erythematosus.
How It Works: Hydroxychloroquine accumulates in lysosomes of parasites and immune cells, interfering with lysosomal acidification, antigen processing, and inflammatory cytokine production, exerting both antimalarial and immunomodulatory effects.
Common Uses: Treatment and prophylaxis of malaria (P. vivax, P. malariae, P. ovale), rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and discoid lupus.
