Iverguard 12 Tablet contains Ivermectin 12mg, a widely used macrocyclic lactone antiparasitic providing effective single-dose treatment of strongyloidiasis, scabies, onchocerciasis, and lymphatic filariasis.
How It Works: Ivermectin irreversibly activates glutamate-gated chloride channels in parasite nervous systems, increasing permeability, causing hyperpolarization and flaccid paralysis, and ultimately eliminating the infection.
Common Uses: Intestinal strongyloidiasis, river blindness, scabies, pediculosis capitis, lymphatic filariasis, and tropical parasitic infections of the skin and subcutaneous tissues.
Administration: Single oral dose taken fasted, with dosing calculated at 150–200 mcg/kg body weight. Specific infections may require a second dose after 1–2 weeks.
Storage: Store below 30°C away from moisture and direct light. Keep in original packaging out of children's reach.
