How It Works: Ivermectin disrupts nerve signal transmission in parasitic organisms by binding to glutamate-gated chloride channels, producing irreversible paralysis and clearance of nematodes, filariae, and ectoparasites.
Common Uses: Strongyloides stercoralis, Wuchereria bancrofti (lymphatic filariasis), Onchocerca volvulus (river blindness), scabies, and head lice.
Administration: Take as a single fasted oral dose with water. Follow weight-based dosing as calculated by your physician. Repeat dosing may be required for certain parasitic conditions.
