How It Works: Ivermectin targets glutamate-gated chloride channels exclusively in invertebrate nervous systems, producing irreversible neuromuscular paralysis and elimination of nematodes, filariae, and ectoparasites.
Common Uses: Strongyloides stercoralis, river blindness (onchocerciasis), lymphatic filariasis, scabies, and head lice infestations.
