Resteclin 500 Capsule contains Tetracycline 500mg, a broad-spectrum antibiotic that has been used in clinical practice for decades. It is particularly valued for treating acne, respiratory infections, and certain sexually transmitted diseases under the guidance of a licensed physician.
How It Works: Tetracycline inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, preventing aminoacyl-tRNA from attaching to the ribosomal mRNA complex. This effectively halts bacterial replication through bacteriostatic action.
Common Uses: Resteclin 500 is commonly prescribed for moderate to severe acne vulgaris, respiratory tract infections including pneumonia, urogenital infections and chlamydia, and Rocky Mountain spotted fever and Lyme disease.
Administration: Resteclin 500 is generally taken on an empty stomach, 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. Avoid dairy products and antacids within 2 hours of dosing. Follow your prescribed schedule precisely and complete the full course.
